Information About My Home Town Mamudpur

Mamudpur is a small village near Hingalganj in the North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. Mamudpur is situated at a distance of 102 km from kolkata .There is a Rajbari  in this village , situated in the West Mamudpur.

The village-road is passing through middle of the village. There is so many ponds beside the village -road. In this village there is a river  name Goureswari is passing beside the village.

It looks green because There are champak trees, mango trees, a few oleander trees and a big peepal tree around the village. The smell of flowers and mango buds combined with how attractive colour arrests everybody's attention.

Festival  of Mamudpur

The Swarasati puja is most important festival of Mamudpur. This festival is held in the month of February. Also Ras mela is the most important fair of Mamudpur, is held in the Purba Mamudpur Khara-Para. This fair is held in the month November.The dance,  music and drama programmes are organized in this festival. 

 School's of Mamudpur

 There is Three School's situated in this village ,  One Higher Secondary school name Mamudpur M.J.S. Pratisthan  & Two primary school [Mamudpur Pachimpalli Abaitanik Prathamik Vidyalay & Mamaudpur Basic School].

How you reach Mamudpur ??

To reach Mamudpur, one has  to board a Hasnabad bound    local train from Sealdah and get of  at last station Hasnabad . The rural station may appear to be a     bit secluded. But   during       office hours, the same platform  is  too crowded, since a large    number of people commute to    Kolkata for their jobs and other important work everyday. Kolkata is merely 2hrs away from Hasnabad.

Then you have to cross The Ichamati River via   Vesel or boats .

After crossing The River you have to board  a bus or auto.

Then you reach Keorakhali from where you can board a van   to reach Mamudpur.
